Teamplify + Zoom

Connecting your Zoom Workspace unlocks Team Analytics and 360° feedback, and also allows you to use Zoom as a Single Sign-On provider.

Team Analytics

See how your team works in Zoom through the Team Analytics dashboard. You can explore multiple views, including the Team Calendar and Collaboration Analysis.

Team Analytics data enhances 360° feedback sessions, providing greater visibility and helping reduce bias.

360° Feedback Sessions

Teamplify's 360° feedback sessions become even more effective with Zoom data. By analyzing collaboration patterns in Zoom meetings, Teamplify can provide more accurate automated suggestions for feedback peers.

When giving or receiving feedback, human input is shown side-by-side with Team Analytics reports, offering a more comprehensive view of performance and helping reduce bias. Connecting Zoom not only enhances Team Analytics but also improves the quality and fairness of your 360° feedback sessions.

Single Sign-On

To use Zoom as your Single Sign-On (SSO) provider, first enable it in your Teamplify workspace settings. Once activated, your teammates can log in to Teamplify using their Zoom accounts.

Multiple communication platforms

With any Teamplify plan, you can connect as many integrations as you need. If you use multiple Zoom workspaces, or use Zoom alongside other online communication platforms like Google Meet, Slack, or Mattermost, you can connect them all to Teamplify and access unified analytics across all data sources.

Data being analyzed

Teamplify collects the following data from Zoom:

  • Meetings: title, host, participants, join and leave times for each participant.

Please note that Teamplify does not have access to any meeting content, including audio, video, chat messages, whiteboards, or recordings. We only analyze the meeting metadata listed above.

Workspace vs. Personal integration

Teamplify supports both workspace-wide and personal Zoom integrations. Here’s how they differ:

  • Workspace Integration connects your entire corporate Zoom workspace, allowing multiple Zoom organization members to link their accounts to their Teamplify profiles. To set it up, you need admin rights in both Zoom and Teamplify.
  • Personal Integration lets any Teamplify user connect their individual Zoom account and link it directly to their Teamplify profile.

How to connect Zoom Workspace to Teamplify

  1. In your Teamplify workspace settings, go to Integrations and select the Zoom integration. Here's a quick link:

    Zoom Connect Zoom

  2. Follow the instructions on the screen. You'll be redirected to Zoom to authorize Teamplify to access your account.
  3. On the Zoom integration page, link your teammates' Zoom accounts with their Teamplify profiles. This allows Teamplify to recognize them in Zoom. Alternatively, each team member can configure this directly in their Teamplify profile.

How to connect your Personal Zoom account

  1. In your Teamplify profile, click Add personal integration under Linked accounts.
  2. Select Zoom, then follow the on-screen instructions. You'll be redirected to Zoom to authorize Teamplify to access your account.

Troubleshooting

Some of your past Zoom meetings might not appear in Teamplify. This can happen for the following reasons:

  1. Teamplify wasn’t connected to your Zoom account when the meeting took place. While Teamplify can retrieve some historical meeting data, this only applies to meetings that were scheduled in advance. It does not include instant meetings — those started using the “New Meeting” button in the Zoom app.
  2. The meeting was hosted by someone outside your Zoom organization or by a user who was not logged in to their Zoom account.

To ensure your Zoom meetings are tracked in Teamplify as accurately as possible, make sure your Teamplify–Zoom integration remains connected and that meetings are always started by logged-in members of your Zoom organization.

Uninstall

To disconnect your Zoom workspace from Teamplify, go to your Teamplify workspace Settings > Integrations, select the Zoom integration, and click Disconnect. All the data that Teamplify has collected from your Zoom workspace will be automatically deleted within 48 hours.

Alternatively, you can uninstall Teamplify using Zoom Marketplace:

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the Teamplify app.
  3. Click the Teamplify app, and then click Uninstall.
