Teamplify + Slack
Connecting your Slack workspace enables
Smart Virtual Standups, integrates
Time Off management, enhances
Team Analytics with Slack data,
and makes it easier to run
360° feedback sessions.
Save time on meetings by running
smart virtual standups directly in Slack.
These standups are fully configurable and integrated with Time Off,
Team Workflows, and Time Tracking:
-
The standup bot will never disturb people on their vacation or during a
national holiday.
-
Standups can automatically perform Team Workflow checks—for example,
reminding teammates to mark their tasks as "in progress" in
Jira
or alerting developers who haven't pushed their code for too long.
-
Standup reports include the current task each teammate is working on and
how long it has been in progress, thanks to the
automated Time Tracking
feature.
-
Every team can set its own standup schedule, format, and Slack channel.
Teamplify has a built-in
time off management system that
integrates seamlessly with Slack and all other Teamplify features. You can:
-
Set up notifications for vacations, sick days, and national holidays
that are sent to your team’s Slack channel.
-
Enable automated bot responses in Slack when someone mentions a teammate
who’s currently unavailable.
-
See scheduled time off in Virtual Standup reports in Slack and plan
around vacations and holidays more effectively.
-
Request and approve time off requests without leaving Slack.
-
Get a more accurate view of your team’s work in Team Analytics,
with time off automatically factored in.
Teamplify incorporates metadata about Slack chats and huddles into
Team Analytics, giving you a more
complete picture of how your team is working.
The Collaboration Report shows who works most closely with whom, helping
you plan and manage projects more effectively—and providing valuable
insights for 360° feedback sessions.
Teamplify's 360° feedback sessions
work better when your Slack workspace is connected. With Slack data,
Teamplify can analyze collaboration patterns within your team more
accurately, leading to better automated feedback peers suggestions and
richer Team Analytics reports displayed side-by-side with human feedback.
Additionally, Teamplify can send notifications in Slack about new feedback
and feedback requests, improving response times and keeping you updated
on the progress of the feedback session.
To use Slack as your Single Sign-On (SSO) provider, first enable it in
your Teamplify workspace settings. Once activated, your teammates can log
in to Teamplify using their Slack accounts.
With any Teamplify plan, you can connect as many
integrations as you need.
If you use multiple Slack workspaces, or use Slack alongside other chat
platforms like
Mattermost,
you can connect them all to Teamplify and access its full range of features
across every connected chat.
-
Messages: channel, thread, timestamp, sender, mentions of issues
from any task tracker connected to Teamplify in the message text
-
Huddles: the channel in which huddles take place, participants,
time when people join and leave the huddle
Please note that Teamplify only analyzes data from channels where
it has been explicitly enabled, which requires two conditions:
-
The Teamplify bot must be added to the channel.
-
Syncing of this channel must be enabled in the Slack integration settings
in Teamplify.
Teamplify does not have access to direct messages in Slack and
cannot analyze conversations within them.
-
In your Teamplify workspace settings, go to Integrations and
select the Slack integration. Here's a quick link:
Connect Slack
-
Follow the instructions on the screen. You'll be redirected to Slack
to authorize Teamplify to access your account.
-
Teamplify will fetch the list of public channels from your Slack
workspace and display it on the integration page. Select the channels you
want to sync.
-
To enable Teamplify in private channels, you’ll need to add the Teamplify
bot manually. Open the desired channel in the Slack app and invite the
bot by posting: /invite @teamplify
-
On the Slack integration page, click Accounts and link your
teammates' Slack accounts with their Teamplify profiles. This step allows
Teamplify to recognize them in Slack, which is essential for all
Slack-related features to function properly. Alternatively, each team
member can complete this setup directly in their own Teamplify profile.
-
/invite teamplify - add the Teamplify bot to the channel.
-
hey teamplify - check if the Teamplify bot is present in the
channel.
-
/teamplify status - set your availability status, such as vacation,
sick leave, business trip, etc.
To disconnect your Slack workspace from Teamplify, go to your Teamplify
workspace Settings > Integrations, select the Slack
integration, and click Disconnect. All the data that Teamplify has
collected from your Slack workspace will be automatically deleted within
48 hours.
