Time-off management has been a core feature of Teamplify since the very beginning. Over the years, we accumulated a lot of users' feedback and made numerous improvements, but some of the improvements we wanted to make required significant changes in the system. Today, we're thrilled to announce a major time-off management overhaul that brings those improvements to life.
Click on the workspace name in the main menu, then Time Off, and you'll see all features related to it: time-off requests, the calendar, holidays, allowance, and policies.
The Time Off tab is also available for every team or sub-team you create in Teamplify, where you can see and manage Time Off for that particular team.
Please note that Holidays and Policies are global settings for your workspace, so they are available only at the top organization level and not for individual teams.
Time Off Policies got a completely new, simpler-to-use, and more intuitive interface. They are now more granular, meaning you no longer need to define all time-off statuses in a policy, but set only what you need – for example, vacation approvals or paid sick leave allowance.
We also added the Allowance tab, where you can see your teammates' current time-off allowances, what policies are assigned to them, and make bulk adjustments if necessary.
Note that the allowance data table is configurable; you can select the columns that are relevant to you and hide those that you don't use.
Of course, Teamplify will notify you when a new request is pending. But what if you missed the notification? What if the person who was supposed to review the request is currently unavailable? No worries! The new Time Off tab has got you covered. See this red dot?
This means that there are pending time-off requests waiting for approval. Click that menu item to see all of them and approve or deny them right away.
There's also a Time off tab in people profiles! It shows the current balance, past and upcoming time off requests, and allows managing assigned policies.
