Lead Time and Cycle Time

November 13, 2024
Build #7335

The Team Analytics dashboard now includes two new charts: Lead Time and Cycle Time. These charts show how long tasks usually take and whether the trends increase or decrease. They highlight anomalies in workflows, helping identify tasks and processes that require your attention.

Like all other charts in Team Analytics, these new graphs fully support team hierarchy, allowing you to see the big picture at the organizational level and dive deeper to evaluate each team or department.

We calculate Lead Time and Cycle Time based on status changes in your task tracker. Teamplify automatically analyzes when a task was created or reached a specific status.

Lead Time and Cycle Time
What is Lead Time?

Lead Time is the total time from the moment a task is created until it is completed. It includes waiting time and therefore it reflects how quickly your team develops features once they have been identified.

What is Cycle Time?

Cycle Time is the time from the moment a task in progress is tacked until its completion. Unlike Lead Time, it doesn't include waiting when the task is just "sitting" in the backlog.

What is Cycle Time?

These features are available in all our plans, so feel free to check your new metrics on the Team Analytics page. Don't forget to integrate your Task Tracker ;)

Don't hesitate to give us your feedback — we'd love to help with any issues or hear that you're enjoying our new features.
